1.1.2 Existing owners

If you use/own MYLISTING on your web site we assume that you are already familiar with the Theme’s parameters and installation process. At this point you have two options:

1st: Start fresh

Create a test environment. Go to your C-Panel and create a fresh WordPress installation on a subdomain or folder you chose. Continue with the normal installation of  MyListing theme.

Pick the right demo to import! According the app you want to configure in your Xcode project. Find bellow the corespondent:

IOS App to test

Demo imort frm MYListing

MyCar : Car Demo

MyHouse : Property Demo

* future release : Main Demo

Continue to the next step. Once your done with the fresh installation you can proceed to the next step.

2’nd: Adapt your existing

Compare your data. First thing we have to do is to compare the informations witch our IOS app is expecting to receive from the data base. Each Listing have a set of properties with values attached, for example Listing Type: Car for Sale.

Minimum requirements. Check the Json print-screen bellow. If you have also this fields included in your theme… you are good to go to the next step. Adding more fiels in the app core needs special configuration. The app is not dynamically importing FIELDS. The app displays only the data generated by the PLUGIN.

1.1.3 Required Fields

Set: Required Field = On in your MyListing Theme

Set all fields to:  “Required Field = On”. Navigate to “Fields” in your listings types and set this optional to false. Doing this we force the user to add a value in the required field. If the value is not entered the JSON will send NIL or empty values to our IOS app and crash it.
Minimum Required Fields. Bellow you can find the fields we need in the beginning to make the app work well. All this fields are actually the default FRESH INSTALLATION fields inserted by MyListing automatically when we import the DEMO content.

Adding more fields?

Compare your data. First thing we have to do is to compare the informations witch our IOS app is expecting to receive from the data base. Each Listing have a set of properties with values attatched, for example Listing Type: Car for Sale.
